Farmer's Market is an opportunity for the community to support their local growers by purchasing home grown products. Local growers set-up on the downtown courthouse square and offer the community fresh produce of the season including bedding plants in May, vegetables throughout the summer, and pumpkins, squash, and outdoor decorations in October.

Hosted at Rogers-Lakewood Park, the Vale Fine Arts Festival "is a celebration to all fine arts and a contibution to our community and our lives". Festival visitors will enjoy meeting visual artists exhibiting and selling their works. Pottery, sculpture, basket weaving, calligraphy, jewelry design, paintings in watercolor, oil and acrylic are a few of the different art mediums that will captivate visitors. Live art demonstrations will also take place and an "Arts Alive" stage will hot artisans performing in dance, poetry, theatrics and song. The fun doesn't stop there however, the kid's Creativity Corner will be alive with color and hands-on projects. The entrance fee is only $5 per vehicle. (Rogers-Lakewood season vehicle stickers do not apply after Labor Day)

The Northwest Indiana walk will be held in Valparaiso on Saturday, October 20, 2007.
