Details:
Traffic will begin to utilize portions of Valpo's roundabout as construction continues on the intersection and surrounding roadways. The roundabout, scheduled to be completed in May 2008, was designed to transform the awkward "triangle" intersection at Lincolnway/Sturdy/LaPorte into a safer, more efficient intersection.

Details:
The VALPARAISO LAKES AREA CONSERVANCY DISTRICT/LAC UTILITIES announced it will be flushing their water system during the evenings from SEPTEMBER 28 TO OCTOBER 26, 2007. Residents may experience cloudy water and low pressure for short periods of time.
The LAC UTILITIES area includes Burlington Beach, Blackhawk Beach, Hillcrest Beach and Edgewater Beach; and Kingsridge North, Ridgewood Creek, Walden, Woodmere, Stonehenge and Wildrose subdivisions.

Mayor Jon Costas invites the public to gather at 2:15 pm at the entrance to City Hall on Monday, Oct. 8 to welcome home the 23 World War II veterans who are currently on the “Tour of Duty” trip to Washington D.C. WWII Memorial. The veterans -- all residents of Valpo’s Pines Village Retirement Community – are visiting the monument at the nation’s capital as part of a community-sponsored trip organized by Pines Retirement Village.
